2021 Synod Convention Weekend
A reflection from the experience of our District Council Secretary on attending the 2021 Synod Convention Weekend:
I am as always in awe of those who live outside of the Perth/Peel region in W.A. Travelling anywhere beyond this requires a cut lunch and a waterbag or two and a necessary pit stop on the way. And so, it was no different travelling on the long weekend to Esperance for the 49th Convention of Synod of the Lutheran Church of W.A. It was such a delightful trip with fabulous hosts – our Esperance contingent who made sure we were wonderfully welcomed, delightfully fed, pleasantly and spectacularly hosted (thanks Marge) and we were blessed beautiful weather. It is truly delightful to gather with fellow Lutherans and belt out a familiar tune or two, have a catch up with those we mostly only see on these occasions, and enjoy the fellowship and comradery – spending time with fellow sisters and brothers in Christ. St johns Esperance you did yourselves proud – it was a delightful way to spend some time and I thank you most sincerely for ensuring our visit was valuable and enjoyable
